Camu Camu is a berry fruit native to the "cochas" or flooded lowlands of the Amazon rainforest.
Harvested by native Shipibo Conibo tribes in canoes during wet season. In dry season it is arid and hot. These stressful and extreme climate conditions are ideal for camu camu to thrive and boast more than 40 times vitamin C and orange.
Historically consumed by natives for taste and healing, it is currently valued as effective in assisting the immune sysytem, fighting inflamation, and as a strong anti-vital food.
